Interval training for quick metabolism boost and weight loss
I have been reading a lot about interval training and thought I would give it a try. The first thing I've found out is that it is not easy and the second thing I've found is that it works great. I have increased my stamina and it does feel like my metabolism is running much higher than before. Here is an example of how the training goes (you can start out with less time and work your way up):
- 60 seconds at 90% effort and then 60 seconds walk, repeat 3 times at first and then increase every week.

Incorporate your kids heath to keep you thin.
Many times it is easier to know whats best for others, especially you children. By concentrating on foods that will keep them healthy you can lower your own waistline. If you find yourself spending all your time on others in your life, and not enough time on yourself then try and combine them. When you are planning your families meals think about whats healthy for them, an what nutritional tools you want to give them. This will slowly bring in healthier foods that will decrease your own body fat composition, and give everyone more energy and a better outlook on life. Our foods affects more than just how we look, from our mental state to our ability to take care of our everyday tasks (bills, housecleaning, and family time). Make a list of important nutrients that your children need and try and ad them to your meals. You may even find that you are less hungry and you don't experience the sugar and salt cravings. Our bodies will tell us it is hungry even though it just needs a certain vitamin, protein, carbohydrate, fat, or even water. Here is a good list of nutrients you child may need from Medicinenet.com

Light weight lifting can increase your fat loss by 40%
Cardiovascular exercise is the most important aspect of your overall health. However to increase your fat loss you should ad a little light weight lifting to your weekly routine. Studies have shown that combining weight lifting into your workout schedule can dramatically increase your fat burning. There are a couple of reasons why, one is that muscle burns fat by increasing your metabolism for a constant fat burn, two by shocking your body into burning fat during and after your weight lifting session, and three it helps your body manage your hormone levels such as your Insulin and Glucagon levels. You dot have to be a serious weight lifter just grab some light weight dumbbells from any retailer and follow the exercise guide it comes with. You can even do them while you are on the computer or watching your favorite show.

Fat burning zone VS cardio zone, which is better for weight loss?
The answer is both! There are various heart rate zones you can shoot for. I suggest mixing them up, it not only helps you burn more fat but it keeps it interesting. Fat burning zone is when you keep your heart rate at around 60% of your max the entire workout. This zone reallies heavily on burning fat as its main source of fuel. At a higher heart rate which is known as your cardiovascular zone your body will be burning more muscle than in a fat burning zone. Some of the benefits of being in a cardio zone is a better conditioned heart, stronger leg muscles (muscle is good for fat burning), you'll burn more calories, increases your metabolism, and you will sleep like a baby. It is also important to add a cardio burn in every now and then because it will shock your system, and many times this shock will result in higher rates of fat burns. One way of getting your heart rate up that I have found I can deal with is interval training. This type of training can go something like this, 30 seconds 85% of your maximum heart rate and 90 seconds back down to 60%, and repeat it until you have exhausted yourself. It may not sound to hard but after a couple of cycles through you will be huffing and puffing. Here is a chart to help you find your target heart rate:
| | Light Level* | Moderate Level | Vigorous Level | ||||
| | 60 to 70% of MHR | 70 to 80% of MHR | 80 to 85% of MHR | ||||

Detox your body for weight loss and overall health.
Our bodies are amazing, and there are many things that science still cant figure out. One thing they do know is that is has amazing filter and detoxification processes. Our lymphatic system, circulatory system, endocrine system, immune system, and digestive system are just some of the systems are bodies use to keep us clean and healthy. As amazing as they are some of our organs (liver, kidneys, large and small intestines, colon, and glands) in these systems can use a little help sometimes. Here are some easy ways to help cleanse these organs.
- Water, Water, Water (Liver, Kidneys, Large and Small intestines, and glands)
- Milk Thistle (Liver).
- Cranberry, garlic, parsley, and ginger (kidneys).
- Psyllium husk, flaxseed, and raw fruits and vegetables (intestines, and colon).
- Yogurt or sauerkraut, I know which one I would pick. Also known as probiotics. ( Liver, Kidneys, Large and Small intestines, and glands).
- Distilled Water, shouldn't be used longer than a month due to the fact that it will strip other valuable nutrients (Glands, Kidneys, Liver, Intestines, and Colon).
- vitamins, especially antioxidants such as vitamin C and E and a tripeptide called Glutathione. (Glands, Kidneys, Liver, Intestines, and Colon).

Why are sugars bad for you?
How does sugar increase weight gain? Its all about insulin and the fact that the hormone gets released after consuming carbohydrates, pushing the carbs into your fat cells. Insulin does this because of its role in your bodies homeostasis. In order to get your blood sugar levels back to normal insulin quickly pushes the calories (carbs, sugars) into your fat cells. In order to stop your pancreas from releasing the insulin we need to limit the amounts of simple carbohydrates (sugar, white flour, honey, molasses) and keep your protein levels consistent. The fact that sugar and simple carbohydrates taste good and provide your mind and body with quick energy and a euphoric feeling, essentially making you a quick energy addict. It usually only takes a few days to curve your sugar cravings but may be made easier by using Stevia ( a very good sugar substitute), and eating consistently. Here are a few other reasons that sugar can be harmful to you:
- Sugar can lower your immune system.
- Sugar can lead to sleep deprivation and depression.
- Sugar can reduce good cholesterol.
- Sugar can lead to acid production in your stomach.
- Sugar can lead to diabetes.
- Sugar can cause food allergies.
- Sugar can increase your chances of headaches and or migraines.
- Sugar can increase your systolic blood pressure.
